Group Assignment - Civil War Timeline
- Get into groups of 1 or 2 students
- Use all resources available to you to develop a Civil War Timeline
- The timeline should be broken down by year (1861-1865) and include only the most important and impactful events of the Civil War.
- Research - Find as many civil war events as you can and list them by year and month
- Evaluate - Apply a rating scale to each event to determine it's importance and impact compared to other events in the same year.
- Identify - discard the less important events and identify the most important events. Divide your list into single year units.
- Create - draw and label a civil war timeline that includes each of the events that you identified.

- Pages 1-2 in handout packet #2
- To answer the questions on page 2, you will need to watch the Georgia Stories episode entitled, "The Economics of War".
